About Me

Hello & here I am. Nice to meet you.

I apologize if my blog is a little odd; I am not experienced in blogging and I did not start blogging with the intent of having an audience. I mostly wanted to keep track of my ideas regarding current digital teaching methods. However, if my blog does gain an audience (which I guess it did because you are reading this), then I hope that my readers are interested in the field of education and experimenting with new digital tools!

I am a recent graduate from Lakehead University looking at this amazing teaching and learning world in front of me. After completing my undergraduate degree and Bachelor of Education, I have decided to continue my studies and obtain my Masters. My love of learning will be a lifelong adventure for me.
In this blog, I will be writing about my thoughts and learned experiences surrounding digital media in the classroom. I will post my findings and discuss which resources will be useful in an educational setting and how they can be implemented. I plan to incorporate these resources into my own teaching in the future. I aspire to be a 21st century teacher that is able to teach and demonstrate these technological resources to my students. I want my students to be prepared with technology because it is such a big part of society now and I truly feel that it will help them succeed. Because there are so many different resources and ideas to go through, this will be a difficult task. So bear with me!
This is an avatar that I created by choosing characteristics that I thought identified me both physically and emotionally. I created it so it could be part of my Digital Self Portrait and help identify me. Although I don’t have green hair in real life, I put this in my avatar because I think it demonstrates how I am creative, unique, and willing to take risks!

Join me on my continuous teaching and learning journey and wish me luck as I find my way!
